Minibar BC30 with a volume of 30 l responds to the latest trends in requirements for reduced electricity consumption. These are thermoelectric minibars that consume 3 times less electricity than absorption minibars. The annual electricity consumption of these minibars is "only" 75 kWh. What is the difference between an absorption, compressor and thermoelectric minibar?
Absorption minibar - it is absolutely noiseless, making it ideal as a room minibar. In order for it to cool properly, you need to pay attention to ventilation. However, it has a higher electricity consumption. energy than a compressor minibar (e.g. 0.73 kWh/24h).
Compressor minibar fulfills the role of a small refrigerator, it is noisier, but it is not so dependent on the quality of ventilation. With the new types, however, it is only a slight noise of up to 28 dB. The advantage is low electricity consumption. energy (e.g. 0.12 kWh/24h) and a long service life. However, the purchase price is about three times higher.
Thermoelectric minibar - it is about 5 - 6 dB noisier than the absorption one, but on the contrary, it is characterized by about 3 times lower consumption and a larger interior space. The annual consumption of electricity is "only" approx. 76 kWh.
Absorption minibars are recommended for hotel rooms due to their quietness and lower price. However, if it is not possible to ensure high-quality ventilation, compressors can also be used, as they have a timer. This allows cooling only when the customer is out of the room.
